iDesk friendly: when
iDesk is installed on your phone, it is detected by
SideCalc and it can be opened by the Desk application button, instead of the standard device's desk, even when
SideCalc is in the foreground (new Preferences option in
version 8.12).

Finanz S80, the
business and finance assistant for
Nokia 9300 9300i 9500 is essentially a bug fixing version, with one addition: the 10 memory positions (m0, m1,...) and the 24 exchange rates (x0, x1,...) can now be used as variables in the
programmable functions. A suggestion for the use of this new feature can be found

14 Dec 05... For
Motorola A1000 and
M1000 only : the last versions of
Finanz UIQ and
MathZ have been updated to allow access to their
online Help, like it had been done for
Projekt UIQ. This was made possible thanks to a new QHelp file supplied by Motorola, now included in the application's SIS file. Last version numbers are unchanged. Only the files have been updated.
6 Dec 05... New update of
Pocket Folio for
Nokia 9300 9500, now at
version 2.12, with a number of smaller bug fixes and these additions:
- short selling is now supported.
- a URL can be attached to each share monitored by the application: at any time the user can press a key to visit the web page associated with the highlighted share.
- memos attached to shares and transactions can now have up to 120 characters.

- one can "double tap" (or "double click") an entry to open its Update dialog. Entry selection is also more stable: there is now a 0.2 second delay after an entry is highlighted, before it can be dragged.
- improved opml import: one imported long entry (more than 255 characters) is now converted to one shorter entry (50 characters max) + one attached Note (no length limit).
- the online Help can now be accessed on Motorola A1000 and M1000.

Version 8.11 (a small bug was found in the recently released 8.10):
- the application can auto start at reboot.
- new shortcuts are available in RPN mode: P for "percent", D for "delta percent" and T for "percent total".
- the thousands separator is automatically inserted into input numbers.
- the maximum width for input/display numbers (and hence the total window width) can be set in Preferences.

Flip Closed view and operation, which have been significantly improved over the previous version:
- smoother operation, in ALG and RPN modes, including percentage and memory.
- functions with multiple variables.
- permanence in the background: the app is instantly operational when called from the background.
- the application remains opened when one opens the flip.

9 Sept 05... MathZ is now at
Version 2.05, with some changes in the menus, and in the operation of the
Solver module, which make it a first class
unit converter (more samples are supplied in the distribution package, with more details in the
User's Guide, and the user can add as many new solvers/converters as he wishes...).
We are please to report that
MathZ is used on a growing number of
Motorola M1000 (Japan).
8 June 05... New release of
MathZ, the
scientific calculator for
Sony Ericsson P800 P900 P910 and
Motorola A1000, now at
Version 2.04. The following has been added to the
Graph module:
- curves with equations of the type f(x,y)=0.
- curves with parametric equations of the type X=function1(x) Y=function2(x), where x varies from 0 to 1.
1 June 05... First significant update of
Pocket Folio for
Nokia 9300 9500, now at
version 2.11, with a number of smaller changes and two major additions:
- automatic daily import of quotes and exchange rates. Now the user can set a time and days of week, when all his data will be updated and recorded automatically via internet
- new copy / export options are available, to e.g. transfer a copy of nearly each view of the application to a sheet, either directly on the phone, or via a csv file.

9 March 05... After months of fine tuning and adding new features requested by users,
version 1.53 of
Projekt UIQ for
Sony Ericsson P800/P900/P910 and
Motorola A925 A1000 is "final". Main changes from the previous version:
- addition of optional Name boxes (for the name of the linked Contact) and Date boxes (for the due date of the linked Task). Lists can be sorted by Name or by Date.
- faster page up / page down scrolling.
- better compatibility of the files exported to the opml format with Macintosh "market standards" like e.g. Omni Outliner or Hog Bay Notebook.
- optional storage of all the Projekt files (*.trz) in dedicated \others\Projekt\ folders, in the internal memory and on the Memory Stick.
- possibility to have both checkboxes and value boxes. For the Presentation monitor, value boxes can correspond to durations in minutes or in seconds.
- optimized automatic backup/compact routine after changes in lists: this improves the overall speed of the application and also solves the problem of occasional crashes on Motorola A925 (with large lists on the memory card).
- introduction of styles for html export. The user can customize 3 different style sheets (from a supplied standard model) and use them for export of lists to the html format.

Awerty pour
Nokia 9300 9500 on peut rendre le fonctionnement de certaines touches
indépendant du verrouillage majuscules et leur affecter les caractères qu'on veut. Ceci permet par exemple de rendre vraiment "
numérique" la première ligne du clavier AZERTY, mais aussi de reprogrammer presque toutes les autres touches. Exemple: la touche de défilement rend inutiles les 4 flèches. Avec
Awerty on peut utiliser ces 4 touches pour 8
caractères supplémentaires, ou pour un accès plus rapide aux caractères '
@' ou '
*'...

1st Feb 2005... Version 2.13 of
Finanz
for
Sony Ericsson P800/P900/P910 is out. Changes from previous version:
- two selectors added in Preferences: one selector for "Precision", where one can select full precision (1/3*3=1.00) or a level of precision limited to the decimals displayed (1/3*3=0.99 when 2 decimals are displayed), and one selector for "Rounding", where one can chose the rounding rule (standard or "bankers").
- the "volatile IMEI" problem on SE P900/P910 is solved, and the application now reads the "true" IMEI of the device.
- bug fixed: the scroll bar of the paper tape view is now properly erased when one switches to another view.

SideCalc S80 for
Nokia 9500 / 9300 (version 8.0): the tiny calculator can be moved around the screen and allows calculations whithout losing sight of data in another application.
SideCalc also features a powerful function calculator: all sorts of calculations can be stored (VAT or volume calculation, temperature or currency conversion,...) and called at a keypress.

version 1.11, which fixes a bug of some importance for CSD connections: in many cases the application needed "manual"
disconnection after the internet update of exchange rates, even with the "auto" option selected. Other changes from version 1.00 are essentially small bug fixes in the user interface.
Finanz Series 80 is available in English, French, German, and Italian.
